Jolthead Porgy
Scientific name: Calamus bajonado

Appearance:
The jolthead porgy typically is silvery to brassy, with occasional blue or green cast. Front of its head is brown, and has a blue line under each eye. A white strip is found below the eye, and another is found between the eye and the mouth. Corner of its mouth is orange.

Habitat:
These fish are common in shallow waters up to 150 feet. They are solitary, though they sometimes swim in schools near reefs. They have been thought to spawn in July and August.

Florida locations:
These fish can be found in coasts of Florida. It is abundant along the Florida Keys, especially in Key West area.
